This all-American dish is a real crowd pleaser.


Prep 30 min | Cook 45 min




  • 60g butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon each onion powder and Mexican chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon seeded mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 medium-sized chicken wings, tips removed
  • Blue Cheese Sauce, to serve (see below)


  1. In a large glass or ceramic bowl, combine butter, garlic, onion powder, chilli powder, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and 2 tablespoons olive oil, whisk until combined.
  2. Add chicken wings and turn to coat. Cover and chill for 15 min, longer if time permits.
  3. Preheat oven to 200C (180C fan forced). Remove chicken from marinade and place onto a lined baking tray. Bake in oven for 45 min, basting every 15 min with pan juices. Allow to cool slightly before serving with Blue Cheese Sauce.


Whisk together 100g blue cheese, 1 tablespoon water, 1/3 cup each sour cream and mayonnaise until well combined. Top with spring/green onion slices if desired.
