- Grease and line an 18 x 28cm lamington pan. Put the butter, maple syrup or honey and condensed milk in a microwave bowl and cook on medium high (70% power) for 1 min. Stir and heat again in 30 sec bursts until dissolved.
- Stir in coconut and biscuits. Add the licorice and stir until combined. Press firmly into pan. Chill while you prepare topping.
- Place chocolate and vegetable shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium high (70% power) using 20 sec bursts, until melted, about 1 min.
- Cool for 10 min then spread over the slice. Chill for 45 min or until set. Cut into squares to serve.
