This recipe is a must-try. The beautiful blend of spice and chocolate are bound to entice anyone.


Prep 35 min | Chill 8 hr




  • 1 1/2 cups mixed unsalted nuts
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 175g unsalted butter, chopped
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder or cinnamon
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 400g 70% dark chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup sour cream


  1. Preheat oven to 180C (160C fan forced). Lightly grease and line the base of a 25cm springform pan. Place mixed nuts onto a baking tray and roast for 15 min or until golden brown. Let cool.
  2. Transfer nuts to a food processor, add brown sugar and 100g melted butter and pulse until combined. Press into the base of the pan. Chill while preparing the filling.
  3. Place unsalted butter, caster sugar and chilli powder or cinnamon in a bowl and beat until creamy, gradually add eggs. Stir in melted chocolate then sour cream. Pour over the base and chill for 6-8 hr. Serve with whipped cream and berry sauce. Garnish with blueberries if desired.
