A pup caught in a building collapse when Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas more than a month ago has been pulled alive from the rubble.

The mix-breed has been named Miracle by workers at Big Dog Ranch Rescue after he was found underneath broken glass and other debris.

The one-year-old was detected by a drone fitted with an infra-red device.

It’s believed he survived by drinking rain water but he has suffered severe weight.

When rescuers finally reached him, he wagged his tail with joy.

It’s hoped Miracle, who was found near Marsh Harbour, will make a full recovery after his ordeal.
