When Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, tied the knot with her partner James Matthews, all eyes were on her dress.

The 35-year-old wed her hedge-fund manager fiancé in May 2017 in Berkshire, wearing a custom-made Giles Beacon gown.

The stunning white lace gown was complemented with a Maidenhair fern tiara by Robinson Pelha and satin heels with pearl detailing by Manolo Blahnik.

It is believed the bespoke dress cost Pippa around £40,000 (AUD$75,000).

For her ‘something old’, Pippa opted for the same Robinson Pelham pearl earrings she wore for her sister Kate’s royal wedding to Prince William in 2011.

Fashion designer Giles Deacon said in a statement: ‘I was thrilled to work with Pippa on her wedding dress.

‘The dress is constructed with a cap sleeve, high neckline and features a corseted bodice with draping to the front and a heart-shaped detail at the back.

‘The bespoke silk cotton lace was hand appliquéd to create an illusion of the dress having “no seams”.

‘The lace bodice is embroidered with pearl detailing over an organza and tulle underskirt, which has payer upon layer to enable a floor sweeping movement.

‘It’s a privilege to show the craftsmanship that my team produces in London and a real testament to Pippa’s support of British fashion.’

Pippa also wore a gorgeous bespoke veil designed by milliner Stephen Jones, made of tulle with embroidered pearls.

Her sister Kate wore a dusty pink dress by Alexander McQueen – the same fashion house who designed her 2011 wedding dress.

Pippa’s niece Princess Charlotte was a bridesmaid, wearing an ivory dress by Spanish childrenswear label Pepa & Co

Pippa and her now-husband James married on May 20, 2017 in her hometown village of Berkshire after a 10-month engagement.

The nuptials were held at the quaint St Mark’s Church in Englefield.
