Iconic Australian actress Judith McGrath has passed away at the age of 70.

McGrath won over audiences around the nation in multiple roles in popular Australian TV shows like Prisoner, A Country Practice and most recently Channel 7’s medical drama All Saints.

While it McGrath’s cause of death is still unknown, her death was first reported by The Sydney Morning Herald.

Several Australian industry greats have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to the star.

Fremantle Media’s head of drama Jo Porter, who worked alongside McGrath as an executive producer during All Saints, spoke to SMH and described her as “one of those incredible character actors who stole hearts and scenes, perhaps never really getting the true accolades she deserved.”

“Judith was adored by her colleagues and by the public, though she would too modest to admit that,” Porter added.

Sending love to the family of the veteran actress during this difficult time.
