Just when you thought fashion couldn’t get any more absurd, Balenciaga rips-off of an Ikea shopping bag!
Yep, the French fashion house has released a new tote that looks freakishly similar to the iconic Swedish furniture store’s ‘Frakta’ shopping bag.
Only difference? Whilst you can snap up the Ikea carrier for $1, you’ll have to cough up a whopping $2848 for the Balenciaga.
Luckily, Ikea appears to see the funny side.
“We are deeply flattered that the Balenciaga tote bag resembles the Ikea iconic sustainable blue bag for 99 cents. Nothing beats the versatility of a great big blue bag!” a spokesperson for the furniture giant said.
